Huge challenges completed by Paul & Paul

Gafael Llaw

Paul Mark Williams and Paul Ellis Owen completed two incredible challenges raising thousands on our behalf.

Paul Williams raised £2,052 in sponsorship for his triathlon challenge which saw him swim 2 miles, cycle 76 miles and finishing with a 10 mile walk to the summit of Snowdon.

Paul said: “I started the challenge at 7:15am finished 8:15pm. It was the hardest 13hr day of my life! A massive thank you to each and every one of you that donated, I’m over the moon, hopefully it will make a small difference to a child’s life.”

Paul Owen took on the three peaks challenge, but rather than travelling in a car between the mountains he cycled from one to the other – what an achievement! He raised over £1000 for the charity.

Paul explains why he chose Gafael Llaw: “I’d heard about the good work of the charity some time ago and knew about the good work being done locally. Cancer is something that has effected my family, and any charity that support children is a charity close to my heart.”

Iwan Trefor Jones, Gafael Llaw Chairman thanked them both for their efforts: “We are so lucky as a charity to have people like Paul and Paul fundraise on our behalf and we are extremely grateful to them for their efforts and really appreciate them choosing Gafael Llaw.”
